After graduating with a Masters degree in Forensic Psychology, I worked within the criminal justice system as an L&D Officer and qualified trainer, carrying out training needs analysis to feed into the design, development and delivery of a wide range of training packages, including bespoke IT systems, professional practice and soft skills. In addition to training, I also undertook a TAQA City & Guilds qualification in assessing workplace competencies, which offered me the opportunity to mentor and monitor staff to ensure they met the necessary criteria to obtain workplace qualifications. After 9 years spent working within criminal justice, I opted for a career change and moved into the e-learning industry, where I spent my time as an e-learning consultant and was responsible for designing and developing bespoke e-learning solutions for a range of businesses, including public and private sector as well as not for profit organisations.
As an IT training consultant, my main responsibility at TLD is undertaking consultancy, working closely with the client to help design and deliver bespoke IT systems training, which meets their business needs. I am currently the lead for Primavera Thales UK, supporting the delivery, design and implementation of training and am at present broadening my portfolio by delivering Primavera training to our external customers.
I also enjoy being able to use my experience in the e-learning industry to help create innovative and accessible new online learning courses. I am passionate about offering the best training experience I can, so work closely with customers and the rest of the team to ensure the training we provide is right for each customer and will make a real difference to them.
What I love about working at TLD
“I love that people here are really willing to help and support you and will always go the extra mile for both colleagues and customers. The atmosphere here is really enjoyable and offers a very positive and energetic vibe. I also find my role really rewarding, I love getting to meet new people, travel around, and work in different environments.”
I am a big fan of outdoor activities, often taking part in obstacle courses, running and swimming events for charity. When I’m not pushing myself to the extreme physically, I enjoy a calmer life with my two rabbits and husband.
