Before joining TLD I worked in the equestrian industry – supervising a team of people who advised customers on nutrition values required for their horse.
I initially joined TLD as a Learning & Development Advisor. It was during my time in that role that I became involved with the managed service element of our business, which led me into a more technical role as Business Process Analyst.
I look after the Business Systems team – supporting the business on the systems both internally and for our customers. I look at the current functionality and how each system can be developed and improved ensuring all customers’ requirements are met. We build our managed service customers their own learning management system as required, including the analysis of current processes, which we develop, build, test and transition into the business without disruption. This allows the organisation to view their training catalogue, and to request, book and manage professional development needs.
We also carry out the development work on the TLD website, and when we’re not dealing with any number of internal queries we spend time visiting our customers, talking with them to get a clear picture of their development needs.
What I like about working for TLD
The friendliness of this place is the first thing that comes to mind, and also the fast-paced nature of what we do. The pace of change is always increasing, too, with lots of positive developments coming into play.
My biggest hobby is horse riding – I own my own horses and regularly take part in competitions.
