Press Release: Successful APM reaccreditation for TLD

apm success

As part of their commitment to maintaining high standards in professional development for project management, APM continually assess those providing APM qualifications and programmes.  Training providers have to apply for accredited status annually; however every four years they are also required to undergo a full reassessment to ensure high quality is being maintained and any recommendations for improvement have been implemented.  TLD were recently asked to complete the reassessment; the process involves an assessor visiting the provider’s premises and observing an APM accredited trainer in action, where they are evaluated on areas such as building facilities, learning materials and content, trainer competence and alignment with the APM quality standards.

Our lead project management consultant Chris Johnston ran the programme during the assessment, and the ensuing report was overwhelmingly positive and commended the TLD team on their competence, approach and materials.

APMSome feedback from the report included:

“The trainer was very experience and proficient.  His project management knowledge was extensive and his ability to recognise the needs of his delegates was very good”

“PFQ, PMQ and PMQ for registered PRINCE2® Practitioners course materials were in various formats including paper, online, electronic, and of a good standard, demonstrating comprehensive coverage of the course syllabus”

“An opportunity was taken to discuss the course with all eight delegates.  They were very complimentary of the course structure, training material and the trainer.  They all felt confident they would pass the exam and were thoroughly enjoying the trainers’ delivery of course material.  The assessor was very impressed with the commitment, knowledge and delivery style of the trainer”

Susan Howard, our Head of Project Management Capability said “We are really pleased with our APM accreditation results and confirms what we believe; that we have a well-structured training offering and passionate, knowledgeable training consultants who can get the content across.  We strive hard to keep our standards high and ensure the learning is the best we can offer.”

As the consultant asked to participate in the assessment procedure, Chris Johnston had this to say: “It is always a pleasure to see emerging Project Management Professionals growing into significant roles within their organisations.  The opportunity we have as learning & development consultants to contribute to this is one we take very seriously, and this accreditation with the APM is a vital enabler for us to achieve this.”
