UKOUGCourse description

Primavera P6 is an essential tool for project planning and control once you’ve mastered the basics. There are, however, a number of advanced features that can make this software even more effective.

We show you all the advanced tools and functions you need to be aware of in order to utilise Primavera P6 to its full potential  – including advanced planning, resourcing and control techniques.

Is it right for me?

Our Primavera P6 for Specialists course looks at professional planning techniques for building and monitoring schedules.  It looks at some of the powerful Primavera features such as Bucket Planning, Reflection Projects and Claim Digger.

This course is designed for Planners and Project Controllers who already use Primavera P6 to manage their plans and would like to explore the systems true capabilities and develop their skills further.

You should be experienced using Primavera P6 and have attended Primavera P6 for Practitioners or have equivalent knowledge.

What will I get out of it?

By the end of the course you will be able to:

  • Perform advanced planning techniques
  • Perform advanced resourcing techniques
  • Update and compare baselines
  • Track projects
  • Control project budgets
  • Monitor and control plans
  • Perform impact analysis
  • Use Reflection projects
  • Create user defined fields and make global changes

Having worked on Terminal 5 at Heathrow I was aware that Primavera was the Leading Planning tool to train on.  I thoroughly enjoy my day the trainer was great and it allowed me to absorb the information easily as we fully understood each others point of view.  What can I say Nicky Fathers is lovely and well versed in P6 and we were able to stretch each the to the full.
