APMCourse description

The APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ) (formerly the APMP) is aligned to the International Project Management Association (IPMA) Certification system, and is recognised at IPMA Level D.  It is a knowledge-based rather than a method-based approach which will equip you with the essential skills to succeed managing real-world projects. The knowledge you will gain on our APMP training course is the knowledge needed every day within organisations to accomplish successful outcomes.  Becoming APM PMQ accredited is a great way to solidify your current project management skills and experience and enhance your career.

Our course is delivered across three stages to improve your learning experience, support you in retaining the knowledge and help you to pass the APM Project Management Qualification exam.  We focus on helping you to become a better project manager not just passing the exam:

  • Stage 1: Pre-course Work, there is around 6 weeks of pre-course work to complete.
  • Stage 2: A four day workshop covering all learning objectives stated in the APM PMQ Syllabus against the current APM Body of Knowledge. Around two hours of homework is set each day with feedback given by your trainer.
  • Stage 3: A one day interactive revision session as final preparation for the exam which is then taken the following day

Is it right for me?

It is recommended that delegates should have achieved at least two of the following:

  • At least two years’ experience working in project environments
  • Completed foundation training in the principles of project management
  • Achieved the APM Introductory Certificate

What will I get out of it?

By the end of the course you will be able to:

  • Perform the learning outcomes defined in the APM PMQ Syllabus, 6th Edition
  • Prepare and take the APM PMQ three-hour exam
The trainer was excellent.  He's the right man for the job.  He interacts well and has the ability to cut through the jargon nonsense and explain things that make sense. Excellent course, well delivered and great facilities at the training centre.
Project Manager, Tuffin Ferraby Taylor
