SQL Foundation Training Course

Course description

If you need to extract data from a relational database management system (RDBMS) such as Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server, the Oracle SQL Developer tool – which this programme focuses on – will enable you to do that.

Using ANSI standard code, where possible, that can be applied to virtually all databases (although any variances are explained in the accompanying course manual), we show you all the basic techniques you need to understand in order to utilise this tool.

Is it right for me?

If you use Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server, and you want to learn how to create queries and extract data from them, this introductory SQL training course will provide you with the relevant skills and knowledge to achieve that.

What will I get out of it?

By the end of the course you will be able to:

  • Create and modify tables
  • Create and edit queries
  • Sort and group data
  • Use text and date functions
  • Create basic conditional statements
  • Create basic pivot data tables

Richard was excellent. I had a lot of questions which he answered each time. The group was very small (3 people) which worked well as he was there whenever I had to ask him something.
